Amman, Nov. 6 (Petra) -Minister of State for Public Sector Development Badriya Balbisi on Thursday visited Al al-Bayt University and the Institute of Public Administration (IPA)’s branch at Yarmouk University to review implementation of the Enhancing Frontline Workers' Capacities program.

Balbisi, who was accompanied by the IPA's Director General, Siham Khawaldeh, said the visit comes within the framework of the government plan to expand training coverage across the Kingdom’s governorates.

The minister called for providing convenient training environments to facilitate employees' participation and reduce financial and logistical burdens.

This facilitation, she said, helps sustain training programs in the public sector and ensures staff's broader engagement across governorates.

Balbisi emphasized that training plays a "key" role in enhancing employee competencies and improving government performance, ultimately leading to better services for citizens.

Khawaldeh, in turn, said implementing the program in all governorates reflects the institute’s commitment to expanding the scope of its training initiatives to cover all the Kingdom's regions.

On its vision, Khawaldeh noted the institute continues to update its training content to align with administrative modernization priorities and the needs of government institutions.

Khawaldeh highlighted the program’s importance in targeting employees, who interact directly with citizens, aimed to empower them to deliver high-quality services that meet public expectations.

She added that the institute conducts regular field visits to governorates to monitor program progress and ensure goals are achieved "effectively." Valuing the training content, participants said the practical and applied sessions helped enhance their professional skills and improve their ability to address everyday workplace challenges.

The benficiaries also voiced their desire for continued in-person training opportunities that allow for direct interaction and experience-sharing.
